Pogostemon stellatus is an aquatic unique stem plant from eastern and southeastern Asia, the Indian subcontinent, New Guinea and northern Australia. It belongs to Genus Pogostemon. It produces semi-long wispy leaves with green hue. It enjoys quality lighting, nutritious aquarium soil and also CO2 supply. Shortage of micronutrients can lead to pale leaves, which may indicate that the aquarium needs fertilizer. The densely growing whorls may reach 6-14 cm width and develop lots of lateral shoots, so needs cuttings and can be replanted to propagate the plant. It can reach maximum height of 10-12 inches.
