Cryptocoryne are an aquatic plant which belongs to Araceae family. They are commonly called as Crypts. Habitats of these plants are mostly streams and rivers with not too rapidly flowing water, in the lowland forest. Like other plants they also need sufficient lighting and CO2 (optional) for better growth rate. These plants are easy to propagate. You need a portion of root with a living node to grow a new plant. Growth is slow and it can take several months to develop full sized plant. They can reach upto 8 inches in height but grows slowly.
